Terrance McCain, 37, was wanted for criminal homicide following the shooting on the 900 block of S. Duke Street around 1:20 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30 in Lancaster, police said.
Along with his attorney, he turned himself over to the police at Lancaster City Police Station at 12:25 p.m. on Oct. 3, the police announced about an hour later.
The man who was shot was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead on Saturday, the police initially said.
Patrol officers and detectives began to work the investigation from the time of dispatch. McCain was subsequently identified as a suspect and was charged with criminal homicide. A warrant was issued for his arrest that afternoon.
McCain was "considered armed and dangerous," police said.
He has a criminal record for "Disorder Conduct Hazardous/Physical Offense" in 2014, according to court dockets.
